Migration and social issues of the Armenian residents living in Garabagh heard

The employees of the State Migration Service and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population continue their activities in the economic region of Garabagh within the framework of the relevant tasks assigned to the Working Group for the resolution of social, humanitarian, economic, and infrastructural issues in the Garabagh region, with the aim of ensuring the sustainable reintegration of Armenian residents living in the Garabagh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan into Azerbaijani society and creating opportunities for them to benefit from the protection of the state of Azerbaijan, according to joint information received by APA from the press services of both institutions.

In order to participate in the reintegration process, 5 residents have registered at the reception office located in the city of Khankendi for initial registration. Additionally, during the mobile reception held in the region, 2 residents applied voluntarily to the State Migration Service.

The initial registrations of these 7 residents have been accepted, and they have been informed that additional information about the execution of their applications will be provided. Each of the applicants expressed their desire to live in the Garabagh economic region and obtain Azerbaijani citizenship in order to benefit from the protection of the state of Azerbaijan. Additionally, during the mobile reception, legal awareness activities were conducted with other residents, providing them with information about the reintegration process.

Additionally, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population conducted an initial assessment with the residents regarding social-psychological and rehabilitation services to determine current humanitarian needs. During the assessment, social-psychological awareness activities were carried out, and advice was provided on disability and rehabilitation services. This helped in identifying the specific needs of the residents.
