The Secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) will send a technical mission to Azerbaijan this week, said Samir Nuriyev, the Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Committee chairman, at the meeting of the organizing committee regarding holding of the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), the 19th session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol and the 6th session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Paris Agreement, APA reports.
He stated that the Secretariat of the UNFCCC will send a technical mission to Azerbaijan, the preparatory works will be carried out in dialogue conditions, and noted the importance of assessing needs in all relevant areas.
Mr.Nuriyev also said that Azerbaijan as a responsible member of the international community and a reliable partner, exchanges experience with the other countries that have hosted COP in previous years.
