Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova met with a delegation led by the Speaker of the Latvian Saeima (Parliament), Daiga Mieriņa, who is on a working visit to the country, the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis told APA.
It was noted at the meeting, Azerbaijan and Latvia, which celebrated their 100th anniversary in 2018, are friendly and strategic partner countries with a similar history.
The Latvian guest congratulated Azerbaijan for hosting such a prestigious international event as COP29 and noted that Latvia is ready to provide close support to Azerbaijan in the implementation of COP29.
