During the COP29 event to be held in Baku, Heydar Aliyev International Airport will operate under an enhanced working regime, Teymur Hasanov, Director of Heydar Aliyev International Airport said during a briefing, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, additional staff and volunteers have been engaged for the event, and a working group has been established to regulate all processes.
"Currently, the daily passenger turnover at Baku airport ranges from 18,000 to 20,000. During COP29, this figure is expected to reach 25,000 to 27,000," Teymur Hasanov noted.
He added that the airport can serve 45,000 to 50,000 passengers daily under the enhanced regime.
