"Appeals are coming from international organizations and companies to provide support on organizing "side events", launching joint initiatives, support on the preparation of the concepts of initiatives and agreement with the region countries, increasing knowledge and skills, sharing experiences on carbon tax and carbon trading, and the issuance of green bonds," Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sahib Mammadov said as he spoke at the meeting of Joint Steering Committee of the UN-Azerbaijan Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2021- 2025, APA-Economics reports.
"The global development priorities brought forward by the UN and other international organizations have been considered during the reintegration of the liberated territories and the implementation of the I State Program on the Great Return. The implementation of the "smart city", "smart village" and "green energy zone" concepts ensures comfortable and modern living conditions in the region. Steps have been taken in these territories to establish foreign-invested enterprises in the field of "greening and decarbonization", the Deputy Minister added.
