Ukrainian drones attempted to attack civilian infrastructure facilities near St. Petersburg from Latvian territory on the night of May 7, the Russian Defense Ministry said, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
It was noted that Russian military forces detected a group of six drones in Latvian airspace.
“Five of them disappeared near the city of Rezekne, while the sixth was shot down over Russian territory. It was determined from the wreckage of the downed drone that it was a ‘Lyutyi’ type UAV,” the Russian Defense Ministry stated.
