Russia will build a second Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) on the territory of Turkiye, said Chief Executive Officer of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation, Alexey Likhachev, on the air of the "Russia-24" TV channel, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
He said that Rosatom State Corporation had started negotiations with partners from Turkiye regarding the construction of the second nuclear power plant on the Black Sea coast.
Notably, Russia is building Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant in Turkiye. The first unit of the NPP is planned to be commissioned in April-May 2023, on the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkiye.
