Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov stated on Sunday during a briefing that the country's targeted missile attacks, carried out on December 31, hit their objectives in Ukraine, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Russian forces aimed to bring down Ukrainian defense-industrial complex facilities "involved in the manufacture of attack unmanned aerial vehicles used to carry out terrorist attacks against the Russian Federation," Konashenkov noted adding that the objectives were achieved.
The spokesman remarked that with this action, Moscow managed to "thwart" Kyiv regime's plans to attack Russia with drones "in the near future."
