The Russian Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday that it has expanded sanctions on the European Union in response to the bloc's decision to cancel its entry facilitation program with the Eurasian country, APA reports citing Tele Trader.
The ministry said the measures have been broadened to include high-ranking military leaders and law enforcement employees from the EU, as well as the individuals and entities involved with the production and supply of the weapons and equipment sent to Ukraine.
"We would like to remind the initiators of anti-Russian measures that any unfriendly actions against Russia will continue to meet a harsh response from our side," the ministry concluded its written statement.
