"Belarus is the main ally and reliable partner of the Russian Federation and remains like that," said Russian Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
He noted that Russia and Belarus carry out joint military planning.
"In the joint activities on the exercises of the troops of the Russian Federation and Belarus, attention is paid to increasing their combat capability. In Belarus, since October 22, measures are taken on the unification of the regional grouping of troops and military reconciliation of military units," noted Shoigu.
