Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the creation of a government commission in connection with the accident with the tank on the Crimean bridge. This was announced on Saturday, October 8, by the Russian leader’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov, APA reports.
The head of state has already received briefings from Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, and the heads of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Transport regarding the emergency.
The official representative of the Kremlin specified that the heads of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Transport of Russia left for the place, reports TASS.
On October 8, a fuel tank caught fire on one of the sections of the Crimean bridge. This was announced by the adviser to the head of Crimea, Oleg Kryuchkov. According to him, as a result of the incident, the navigable arches were not damaged. The Crimean Bridge is the longest bridge in Russia. Its length is 19 kilometers.
