Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed by telephone the statement recently adopted by the leaders of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries on Armenia, announced to reporters by Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov, APA reports.
"Naturally, we discussed bilateral relations, and there was a conversation following up on the understanding and statement recently adopted by the leaders of the EAEU countries regarding Armenia," Peskov clarified.
"The need for a referendum to be held in Armenia as soon as possible to determine which direction Armenians want to take was emphasized," he said.
