Parliament of Kyrgyzstan has ratified border agreements with Uzbekistan

The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan today has approved ratification of the agreement on delimitation and demarcation of the border between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, APA reports citing AKI Press.

Consideration of the agreement lasted around 5 hours.

President Sadyr Japarov attended the session of the Parliament. The bills were presented by the Deputy Chairman of Cabinet of Ministers and State National Security Committee Chairman Kamchibek Tashiev.

The lawmakers have passed the bills in 3 readings immediately.

64 MPs voted for ratification of the agreements on certain border sections and joint management of water resources of hte Kempir-Abad water reservoir and 19 voted against. 83 MPs were registered in total.
