"On behalf of the Armenian government, I offer my condolences to the people and government of Turkiye," said Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, who is visiting Ankara, at a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu, APA reports.
Mizroyan reminded Armenia also faced a severe earthquake tragedy in the 1980s.
"We know what this tragedy is, and this pain is not unfamiliar to us," the Armenian minister added.
He thanked Çavuşoğlu for his words about the activities of the Armenian rescuers.
” I want to emphasize once again the readiness of the Armenian government for peace in the region, as well as for the normalization of relations with Turkiye and the establishment of diplomatic relations, " Mirzoyan said.
