Member of the Armenian Parliament Arsenyan: Russian military presence in the country will not last forever

"Without the presence of Russian troops on the territory of Armenia, the country will cease to pose a threat to Turkey and will simply become its neighbor, "Gurgen Arsenyan, member of the Armenian Parliament from the Civil Contract faction, stated this, APA reports.

It is worth noting that the “Civil Contract” faction is the ruling faction in Armenia, that is, such sentiments dominate in the entourage of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"The Russian military presence in Armenia is the result of the civilizational views of the first years of the creation of statehood ... The Russian military presence is not eternal in Armenia," said the deputy Arsenyan.
The Armenian politician also noted that now the authorities of the republic are going to regulate relations with neighbors on the basis of the principles of good neighborliness and provide opportunities for the further development of the country. If these goals are achieved, then the Russian military presence will become unimportant for the country.
