Russia is being pushed out of the region, said Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in a statement on the official website of the institution on the new mission of the European observers, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
It was noted that the European Union and the West want to enhance their positions in Armenia, Russia's ally, by all means.
"The West is attempting to undermine Moscow's historical role as the primary provider of security. The European Union's involvement in the resolution of regional disputes has been ambiguous. Brussels cannot claim success in this field.
The complex agreement reached by the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan is the main factor of stability and security in the region for the near future. Their implementation is a direct step toward improving the situation in the region. Russia is ready to contribute in any manner," said in the statement of the Spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
