The condition of two Azerbaijani citizens injured as a result of a drone attack on a vessel in the Sea of Azov is moderately serious, while the condition of the other two is normal, Farhad Mammadov, chairman of the Azerbaijani community in Yeysk, said in a statement to APA’s Russia bureau.
He said that he had visited the injured compatriots receiving treatment in the traumatology department of Yeysk Central Hospital, that some of their needs had been met and that their health condition was under doctors’ supervision. He emphasized that Azerbaijani citizens Rashad Madatkhanov, Samid Ibadli, Emin Valehov and Namiq Jafarli are under the attention of doctors.
The injured Azerbaijani citizens also told APA’s Russia bureau that their condition is normal and that their treatment in hospital is continuing. They noted that representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Yeysk and staff of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia had visited them and inquired about all their needs.
It was reported that the Azerbaijani citizens are expected to be discharged from hospital on the first day of next week. However, because they do not have their documents with them (their documents were lost on the vessel during the drone attack – ed.), their discharge may be delayed for some time.
It was noted that the Azerbaijani embassy is working on providing their documents.
