Armenia has canceled an agreement with Jordan's Jadara Equipment & Defence Systems Co Company on weapon order, APA reports citing Civilnet.am.
Armenian Defense Ministry has stated that the company has not implemented the order on time.
Armenian Deputy Defense Minister Karen Brutyan's relevant letter regarding the issue has been placed on website of the Ministry of Finance.
It has been noted in the letter that the Armenian side signed an agreement with Jadara Equipment & Defence Systems Co Company on purchase of weapons on August 6, 2021, and it had to be implemented in that year.
However, as the agreement has not been implemented so far, it has been terminated by the Ministry unilaterally. Moreover, the Jordan company should pay a compensation of USD 57.5 thousand.
The Armenian side is supposed to order Nashab anti-tank grenade launcher from Jordan with the agreement.
