“One of the important provisions of the agreement of January 2021 was the borders of Armenia were “red line” for our alliances,” said Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the congress of “Agreement of Citizen”, APA reports citing Sputnik Armenia.

Armenian PM claimed that Azerbaijan “violated” the border in the direction of Sotk-Khoznavar on May 12, 2021. He added that at that time Armenian side noted “violation” of  “red line” and the importance of activation of mechanisms. “They told us “however, but it seems that the border (with Azerbaijan) was not demarcated.” Saying “We do not know where the border passes from.” means non-existence of CSTO, because CSTO has a responsibility, and it covers the borders of member states. If one of the countries (member) does not have a border, this means that CSTO does not have a zone of responsibility. Our position is that there is a border,” Pashinyan stressed.
