Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development Mehrdad Bazrpash has registered as a possible candidate in the Republic’s June 28 presidential election on Monday, Tasnim said, APA reports.

According to other information reported by "Tasnim" citing its sources, Mohammad Mokhbar, who is performing the duties of the President, will not register to be a candidate, despite appeals regarding his participation in the elections.

Note that Mehrdad Bazrpash is the co-chairman of the Azerbaijan-Iran Joint Commission.

Parliament speaker of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has registered as a possible candidate in the Republic’s June 28 presidential election on Monday, APA reports citing Mehr.

The registration process for the 14th round of Iran’s presidential election kicked off on May 30 and will end today.

Iran will hold presidential elections on June 28, following the death of President Ebrahim Raeisi and his entourage in a helicopter crash in May.
