The $7.5 billion earned by Iran from oil sales has been placed at the disposal of the Central Bank, Fars agency reports, citing information obtained from Iran’s Ministry of Petroleum.
It was reported that $7.5 billion in foreign currency proceeds generated from Iran's oil sales during the first four months of the current year has been handed over to the country's Central Bank.
It was noted that this amount is 1.5 times higher than the figure recorded in the same period last year.
According to the information, oil revenues earned in the first four months of the year will be sufficient to cover all of the Iranian government’s foreign currency expenditures through the end of the current year.
