Negotiations are underway between Tehran and Kyiv on the payment of compensation over the attack on an Iranian cargo ship in the Caspian Sea, Iran's Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali told RIA Novosti.
According to him, Ukraine has still not paid compensation for the attack, and negotiations on the matter are currently underway.
Jalali described the attack on the Iranian vessel as an "act of terrorism."
The ambassador stressed that Ukraine had apologized to Iran over the incident, but that the payment of compensation was important.
In July, Ukraine attacked an Iranian cargo ship traveling in the Caspian Sea for trade with Russia. As a result, one person was killed and several others were injured.
