Mohsen Rezaei, an adviser to Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, said Monday that Iran had prepared to strike three locations in Ukraine after Kyiv attacked an Iranian vessel in the Volga River but called off the plans after Ukraine said the incident was a mistake, APA reports citing Iran International.
“We were ready to attack three locations in Ukraine,” Rezaei told Iranian state television.
He said Kyiv later called the incident a mistake, prompting Tehran to reconsider its response.
