Mile-wide asteroid 1566 Icarus’ encounter with Earth during June 2015 is the nearest it gets to our planet until 2090, but there is no fear of a collision.
The approach is expected to be observed in Baku at 17:39 local time.
Icarus makes a close approach to Earth at gaps of 9, 19, or 38 years.
On June 14, 2090, it will get within about 6.5 million kilometers of Earth.
The asteroid Icarus has a diameter of 1 km.
