US President Donald Trump has accused Iran of trying to prolong its conflict with the United States in the hope that Democrats will return to power, APA reports.
Speaking in an interview with Fox News, Trump claimed Tehran believed a Democratic administration would allow Iran to effectively obtain a nuclear weapon.
“They are doing everything they can to get rid of me because they think the Democrats will effectively allow them to have a nuclear weapon. They will not have a nuclear weapon,” Trump said.
Trump also said Iran might already have obtained a nuclear weapon if his administration had not taken action to prevent it.
