United States President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between his country and Iran will be signed in the next 48 hours, APA reports.
Speaking to the press after landing in Paris for a diplomatic dinner at Versailles, Trump said that the final location of the signing has not been determined yet. On the terms of the agreement, he said that Iran might be allowed to keep some ballistic missiles, as other countries in the region have their stockpiles.
Furthermore, Trump confirmed that the US would keep some troops present in the Persian Gulf "for a while." "It's a good place to stay," he joked. Still, he expressed belief that the new developments in the Middle East "will go well."
