Baku – APA. At least 500 people were left injured after the meteor shower caused massive destruction in Chelyabinsk region. APA reports that Russian chief sanitary inspector Gennadi Onisshenko said 474 people were admitted to hospitals: “Fortunately, all of them have been slightly injured. 16 have been hospitalized, three of them are schoolchildren. The others were given first medical aid and discharged. Most of those who came to hospitals were injured as the windows broke.”
Chelyabinsk city authority declared holidays at schools and preschool facilities. The place, where the meteorite fell has not been determined yet, it supposedly plunged into the lake
