Mr.Nazarbayev filed an extradition request with Austria’s Justice Ministry.
"He is now in detention pending deportation and the court will decide about the extradition request," Gerald Hesztera, spokesman for the Austrian federal bureau of investigation said.
He said that in the next 48 hours, a Vienna magistrate will decide whether to extradite Aliyev or release him on bail.
Kazakhstan’s former ambassador to Austria R.Aliyev is accused of kidnapping and running a crime network in the Central Asian country. He was dismissed from his post after when he publicized he will run for presidency and criminal case was launched on him. /APA/
