Azerbaijani, Russian FMs start bilateral meeting in Moscow - <span style="color: red;">PHOTOSESSION

Moscow. Farid Akbarov – APA. A bilateral meeting between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Russia - Elmar Mammadyarov and Sergei Lavrov respectively - started in Moscow on Monday.

At the beginning of the meeting, Lavrov offered condolences to his Azerbaijani counterpart over the fatal fire outbreak in a high-rise in Baku.

The Russian minister hailed the high level of relations between the two countries.

“Today’s meeting will be very productive. We will discuss a wide range of bilateral relations and the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” noted Lavrov.

Mammadyarov, in his turn, expressed satisfaction with his visit to Moscow. The FM said Azerbaijan and Russia have historical ties, noting that the current relations between the two countries are at high level.

“The trade turnover between the two countries is growing every year. Azerbaijan and Russia continue successful cooperation within international events,” Mammadyarov added.

Then the meeting was continued behind closed doors.

The ministers will hold a joint press conference after the meeting.
