Baku. Konul Kamilgizi – APA. The State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations hosted on Friday the presentation of the book titled “Heydar Aliyev’s policy: tolerance” published on the 92nd anniversary of the national leader’s birthday.
Addressing the event, Chairman of the State Committee Mubariz Gurbanli said that the book includes Heydar Aliyev’s speeches which reflect the ideas of tolerance and multiculturalism, the protection of national and spiritual values, and religion-state relations in 1993-2003.
First deputy chairman of the Caucasian Muslim Office Haji Salman Musayev said Azerbaijan has historically been a multi-confessional zone and religious communities that were persecuted in other countries have lived comfortably in Azerbaijan.
At the end of the event, winners of the article competition on the subject “Heydar Aliyev’s policy and our national-moral values”, which the CMO traditionally organizes among religious communities, were rewarded.
