Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations Mubariz Gurbanli has received Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan Rafael Harpaz.
During the meeting, the sides emphasized that relations between Azerbaijan and Israel have historical roots and these relations successfully continue today, the committee’s press service told APA.
Ambassador Rafael Harpaz expressed his satisfaction with the care for Jews in Azerbaijan and high level of relations between the state and religion, noting that Azerbaijanis have always demonstrated fraternal attitude toward Jews and not ever faced any religious or ethnic problem here.
During the meeting, the sides stressed the importance of preservation and development of existing relations and mutual cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel.
