Azerbaijan is one of the rare places, where various religions and cultures are coexisting in an atmosphere of mutual respect and confidence. Preservation of ethnic-cultural diversity, multiculturalism, development of the language and culture of national minorities are main directions of the state policy.
Regardless of their language, religion, ethnic origin, representatives of all nations coexist in Azerbaijan in an atmosphere of friendship and brotherhood; they demonstrate real civilian position strengthening of the independence. I am pleased to note that being an integral part of multiethnic Azerbaijani society, the Jewish community plays a special role in the socio-political and cultural life of our country and is taking an active part in the process of legal state-building.
