Leyla Yunus is faced charges on the Criminal Code’s articles #274 (state betray), 178 (swindle), 213 (Evasion from payment of taxes), 192 (Illegal business), and Arif Yunus on articles #274 (state betray) and 178 (swindle).

A restriction order was imposed on Arif Yunus on not going anywhere else.

Baku. Gulnar Bashirova, Shahriyar Alizadeh – APA. Human right activist Leyla Yunus and her husband Arif Yunus have faced charges, lawyer Javad Javadov told APA in this regard.

According to him, Leyla Yunus is faced charges on the Criminal Code’s articles #274 (state betray), 178 (swindle), 213 (Evasion from payment of taxes), 192 (Illegal business), and Arif Yunus on articles #274 (state betray) and 178 (swindle).

The lawyer noted that during the interrogation, a restriction order was imposed on Arif Yunus on not going anywhere else, and Leyla Yunus was taken to the Nasimi District Court for pre-trial detention.

A. Yunus told journalists that he was examined by a doctor: “As I have problem with my health, I’m not sentenced to imprisonment. However, I’ll be under the police control and a restriction order has been imposed on me”.
