Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. A new video of Azerbaijanis fighting in Syria has been released.
In the video obtained by APA, the Azerbaijanis fighting under the “Islamic State of Iraq” armed group are demonstrating the area seized on the bank of the Euphrates River.
Noting that the largest areas in Syria have already been seized by the “Islamic State of Iraq”, the Azerbaijanis are saying that a water power plant, a home department, a bakery, a sharia court and a police office have already been set up in these areas where they will soon announce caliphate: “All of these are given by Allah. We have already determined the borders of these areas and will soon announce caliphate.”
The video especially presents Azerbaijani Tobchubashov, who is reportedly an artillery platoon commander.
Moreover, it was noted that an Azerbaijani named Abuzer reflecting in the video formerly fought in Chechnya, Afhganistan and now is fighting in Syria.

As the situation became tense a large number of Azerbaijani citizens started to go Syria and fight against the government forces within various radical groups. Nearly 100 Azerbaijanis were killed in the battles during this period. Photos of most of them were posted on social networks by the Mujahideen.
