Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. The current state of relations with the Western countries was discussed at today's meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament, APA reports. MP Zahid Oruj said that neither any international organization, nor political statement can change the will of the Azerbaijani people: “Some international organizations intend to achieve what they want by exerting pressure on Azerbaijan. We have previously seen the results of it and Azerbaijan will continue its traditional line so far. Our country is not afraid of Europe and won’t join any organization established under the auspices of Russia.”

Siyavush Novruzov said that the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) and European Parliament have always demonstrated biased positions and it was negatively met by the Azerbaijani society: “The OSCE ODIHR wasn’t allowed to participate in the elections of the United States or Russia. Representatives of the European countries observed the presidential elections in Azerbaijan and expressed their positive attitude.”

Asim Mollazadeh noted that these pressures aim at preventing strategic development of Azerbaijan, but they can’t achieve their goal.
