Baku. Shamil Alibeyli – APA. ‘Today, my wish comes true – the direct flight will carry the first passengers from Budapest to Baku’, Hungarian ambassador to Azerbaijan Jolt Chutora said at the press conference held in relation to launching of Baku-Budapest flight, APA reports.
He said that this is a historical step: ’PM and President of Hungary visited Azerbaijan. And this year, Azerbaijani President is expected to pay visit to Hungary. Our relations are at a high level’.
CEO of WizzAir Joseph Varadi gave information about the activity of airlines. He noted that at present time, Baku is the most distant point in the East. To him, these flights will contribute to development of bilateral relations: ‘Azerbaijani-Hungarian ties have developed dynamically within the past 2 years and we are glad to contribute to development of these ties. Our planes operate flights to 33 countries of the world. By visiting Hungary, Azerbaijanis can discover not only Budapest but also other European countries’.
