"Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, continues to make slanderous statements against Azerbaijan," the Western Azerbaijan Community responds to Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, APA reports.
“With these statements, the EU proves that they do not stand as a neutral Party in the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia. It is regrettable that the representative of the European Union who has not even once mentioned the fact that Armenia has occupied the lands of Azerbaijan for nearly thirty years, is continuously taking a biased position against Azerbaijan. With these conditions, the EU gets no chance to be a mediator for a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia. The Representative belongs to an international organization that declared the intention to contribute to the process as a mediator, making a threatening statement against one of the parties, it is incompatible with the essence of the principle of "mediation" and cannot be accepted. Western Azerbaijan Community once again calls on the EU side to abandon unfair and accusatory rhetoric against Azerbaijan,” emphasized in the statement.
