"Statistics of Azerbaijanis who lived in Western Azerbaijan (now Armenia) in the last 100 years will be conducted, and the areas where they settled as refugees will be determined," Hikmat Babaoglu, deputy chairman of the Western Azerbaijan Community told APA.

Hikmat Babaoglu noted that currently, the national tasks were put forward before the Western Azerbaijani Community: "Statistics of Azerbaijanis who have lived in West Azerbaijan for the last 100 years will be conducted and the territories where they settled as refugees in the next stage will be determined."

Hikmat Babaoglu noted that those forcibly displaced from their ancestral lands in 1988-1991 have citizenship documents of the Republic of Armenia, high school graduation certificates, birth certificates, as well as numerous documents indicating the attitudes to the Communist Party, Komsomol, and pioneer organizations of the time: "Works which makes important to conduct these clarifications, have been already started in the Western Azerbaijani Community. But this work takes a lot of time".
