Azerbaijani MP: We will restore historical justice, will return to Western Azerbaijan

“Let Armenian leadership, power centers approach the statements of the Azerbaijani President regarding Western Azerbaijan as the next indicator of official Baku's interest in creating stable peace in the region and the Armenians staying and living in Karabakh,” the member of Azerbaijani Parliament Sahib Aliyev told APA.

According to Sahib Aliyev, Armenian leadership even should thank for this: “Because Azerbaijanis returning there will reconstruct, recreate, will beautify the empty villages. Azerbaijanis have always been distinguished there for their hard work and high-value creation potential. The return will definitely happen, regardless of whether Armenians want it or not. Because, as our President stressed, all international conventions recognize our such right.”

The member of the parliament brought to attention that there are those in Azerbaijan who considers impossible our return to Western Azerbaijan, seeing who takes Armenians under their wings, or working for it: “I hope that they will draw a right result from the statement of Azerbaijani President regarding the return to Western Azerbaijan in his interview with the local channels. Look, what does say our President? He says we never come up with initiatives that are impossible to realize, therefore, the work is underway on the program in this field. I am sure that we will also achieve this and restore historical justice. We will return to West Azerbaijan. By the way, President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of talking about the issues that only can be solved and its time has come which once again shows that he considers the return of those deported from Armenia fully real. State leaders “just as the Karabakh issue once united the entire Azerbaijani people and we achieved our desires, we should apply the same approach here” opinions regarding the return to West Azerbaijan can also be considered as a kind of call to people.
