We watched how mines are cleared, what methods and equipment are used,” Norwegian traveler Ole Jorgen Vastveit who is on visit to the liberated territories of Azerbaijan told APA.
He also said that he took part in the demining process too.
“I pushed clicked the button and it was very impactful. I saw how the anti-tank mine exploded."
The traveler stated that he never know that Garabagh was exposed to so much mine pollution before and now he is familiar with all this.
“We were informed about how these mines were planted and that the Armenian army planted the mines here before they left. This is a really bad action. Mine maps should be submitted so that the Azerbaijani side knows exactly where the mines are buried. This step would save the lives of many people and the demining process would be accelerated," he said.
