From 1990 to 2020, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) participated in in the return of nearly 700 captives to both sides (Azerbaijan and Armenia - ed.), head of the Public Relations Department of the ICRC office in Baku Ilaha Huseynova told APA.
According to her, some media outlets spread disinformation: "Sometimes information is spread in the media that letters given by captives have not been delivered to their families. Perhaps, the address given by the person who sent the letter is wrong or his relatives no longer live at that address. In this case, after we review them we return the letter to that person.”
