This year, there will be a consecutive 12 non-working days in Azerbaijan in March due to Novruz and Ramadan holidays, APA reports.
According to the decision dated December 11, 2024 made by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Novruz holiday will be on March 20, 21, 22, 23, and 24, 2025. Since March 22 and 23 falls on Saturday and Sunday, according to the Labor Code, March 25 and 26 will be non-working days.
Based on today's decision by the Cabinet of Ministers, in order to ensure the continuity of work and rest days, the workdays of March 27 and 28, 2025, have been swapped with the rest days of March 10 and April 1.
Recall that since March 8, International Women's Day, falls on Saturday, according to the Labor Code, March 10 should have been a non-working day.
Additionally, since March 30 falls on Sunday for Ramadan holiday, April 1 should have been a non-working day.
Thus, since March 29 and 30 also falls on Saturday and Sunday, March 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31 will be non-working days on Novruz and Ramadan holidays this year.
