Marriage between children of uncles and aunts may be banned in Azerbaijan, Sector Head of the Department of Legislation and Legal Policy of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan Rustam Gasimov said during a public discussion on "Consanguineous marriages", APA reports.
He noted that it is discussed to prevent third and fourth degree consanguineous marriages at the legislative level:
"This includes marriages between children of uncles and aunts. The actual situation here indicates that despite the educational works conducted for many years, the problem still remains. Therefore, it is important for the state to take action."
