"April 2 is the first day of the Month of Ramadan," Deputy Chairman of Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO) Fuad Nurullayev told APA.
According to him, a survey has been sent by the Caucasian Muslims Office to Shamakhy Observatory.
"They presented us with a calendar of the arrival of the months. According to the calendar, the month of Ramadan will enter on April 2. On the 1st of the month, the crescent of Ramadan will appear. If the crescent is visible, tomorrow is the 1st of Ramadan," he said.
The deputy chairman of the CMO also announced the time of Ramadan Holiday.
"Ramadan is celebrated at the state level for two days. According to the calendar provided by the observatory, May 2-3 is Ramadan Holiday," he said.
