The remains of Sardar Jafar oghlu Ismayilov, a martyr who went missing during the First Karabakh War, have been handed over to his family, APA’s Mil-Mughan bureau reports.
A farewell ceremony for the martyred serviceman was held at the house where he was born and raised in Astanli village of Neftchala district.
The ceremony was attended by the martyr’s family members, representatives of the district Executive Authority, law enforcement officers, servicemen, war veterans and members of the public.
A funeral prayer was performed.
The martyr’s remains were laid to rest in the row of martyrs at Astanli village cemetery, accompanied by a military orchestra and a gun salute.
Note that Sardar Ismayilov was born on August 27, 1971, in Astanli village of Neftchala district. He took part in battles during the First Karabakh War and went missing on October 25, 1992, during battles for Childiran village of Aghdara district.
