Members of the European Union Monitoring Mission in Armenia (EUMA) continue their observations in areas bordering Azerbaijan, APA reports.

On May 2, the European observers visited a territory adjacent to Azerbaijan’s Zangilan district. They traveled by vehicle along the road and monitored Azerbaijani territories using binoculars.

Azerbaijani border guards kept the monitoring mission’s movements under control and recorded them.

It should be recalled that the EU Monitoring Mission in Armenia regularly conducts observations along the border with Azerbaijan. Reports and footage of these activities have been disseminated in the Azerbaijani press.

APA has also previously released information and visuals several times regarding the activities of European observers in areas bordering some districts of Azerbaijan.

Notably, the mandate of the EU’s 200-member monitoring mission along Armenia’s border with Azerbaijan has been extended for another two years—until February 19, 2027.
