A statement prepared using "deep fake" technology and not reflecting any reality, allegedly on behalf of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Yagub Eyyubov, has been spread on several social network accounts, stating that Azerbaijan is pursuing an aggressive policy towards Russia, APA reports citing Media Development Agency.
It was noted that these fake videos, created by certain circles with the help of artificial intelligence and aimed at polluting the information environment, are an example of gross manipulation aimed at misleading public opinion.
"We urge the public to trust only the information provided by official sources, and remind them that you can obtain information expressing the official position of the state from official sources, as well as from the country's news agencies and other professional media entities.
We call on Azerbaijani citizens, journalists, and public activists to always demonstrate principledness in the face of such situations, and to be vigilant in an environment where campaigns based on fake and false information, and the trend of creating content using "deep fake" technologies, are gaining momentum," the statement said.
