Azerbaijan to launch its next optical observation satellite into orbit in 2026

“Space devices are one of the main tools for monitoring climate change. Currently, measuring climate change in more than 160 spacecraft around the world is possible,” said Samaddin Asadov, the Chairman of the Board of Azercosmos to journalists, APA-Economics reports.

He noted that exactly 60% of the information obtained on climate change is information obtained from space.

S. Asadov said that currently, the space agency continues to operate in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan in accordance with all parameters.

The chairman also noted that the next satellite projects are being ongoing: “We plan to launch the next optical observation satellite in 2026.”
