Ramiz Anvar oglu Mehdiyev has been relieved of his duties as a member of the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree in this regard.
Note that Ramiz Mehdiyev was included in the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan by the decree of the President of Azerbaijan dated October 23, 2019.
Currently, Ramiz Mehdiyev is accused under Articles 278.1 (acts aimed at seizing state power), 274 (treason), and 193-1.3.2 (legalization of property obtained by criminal means) of the Criminal Code.
The Sabail District Court of Baku made a decision in the criminal case against Ramiz Mehdiyev on October 14 of this year. According to the decision, the court granted the motion regarding Ramiz Mehdiyev, who is charged with particularly serious criminal acts, and ordered a preventive measure of house arrest for a period of 4 months.
