Landmine explodes in Gaybali village of Azerbaijan

On April 27, 2024, a landmine explosion occurred in the territory of Gaybali village of Azerbaijan's Shusha district liberated from occupation, noted a joint statement by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General's Office, and the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), APA reports.

It was noted that ANAMA employee Guliyev Elchin Aydin, born in 1981, sustained injuries as a result of an anti-personnel mine explosion while performing his duty.

The injured employee was diagnosed with "right leg amputation", he was provided first aid on the spot by a paramedic of the Agency and he was evacuated to the district hospital. Currently, his condition is stable.

Shusha District Prosecution Office is investigating the fact.
